A Scout is helpful…Circle 10 is sponsoring a trip down to Houston to help with the recovery effort. All registered members of Circle 10 are invited to attend.  There will be no cost to attend, but space is limited to the first 50 that sign up. Meals and tools will be provided. Buses will leave from the Murchison Scout Center (Circle 10 HQ) at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, September 16, and will return around 11 p.m. Go here to sign up.

 

Fishing Campout this weekend – 9/15-17 @ Trevor Rees-Jones Scout Camp; Cost $20

Troop Court of Honor 9/19 – Our twice a year event to formally recognize Scouts’ achievements.  Scouts’ family members are invited to share in this event.  Scouts should be in full uniform including merit badge sash for all who have earned a merit badge, regardless of rank. Everyone should try to attend this important event!

 

9/26 Troop Meeting – Drug and Alcohol Awareness Program presented by Irving Police Officer.

Let’s show our appreciation to our guest and have a good turn out!

Popcorn Time! – Scouts can fundraise to pay for campouts, summer camp, winter camp, etc. by selling popcorn!  Let’s encourage all our scouts to participate.  See email about online selling.  Important dates:

10/14 – Blitz day meet at Woodhaven at 10am

11/7 – All order forms due to Kathy

12/2 – Popcorn pick up (all money due when you pick up your popcorn)

Trinity Trash Bash – 9/30 9am – noon @ T.W. Richardson Grove Park

Earn conservation service hours!

Everyone participating must have a signed waiver. You will turn these in at the volunteer sign-in area. The waiver is attached to this email, please print and take it to the event. Wear your activity uniform (troop t-shirt) if you have one, closed toed shoes, hat, long pants, bring rain gear. They will have igloo containers w/water so please bring a reusable water bottle.

USS Lexington WWII aircraft carrier Campout – 10/7-9 2914 N. Shoreline Blvd. Corpus Christi

A Scout is Courteous…  Please bring a water bottle to meetings.  Woodhaven has asked us not to use their cups.  We need to be respectful of the church as a whole, this includes the kitchen area and the ice maker.
