News

Woodhaven is going to start doing renovations to the education building sometime in September and we will be sharing  Hancock Hall with Troop 510.

 

Elections are coming up. Let Mr. Murphy know if you want to run for SPL.

 

Court of Honor is September 21.

 

Colby’s Eagle project work day is Sunday  9/26 at 1pm until we are done.

The address of the project is 315 W 3rd St, Irving, TX 75060 we will be in the parking lot next to the building.

 

Mr. Murphy went online and checked out our Council camps to see availability and the only weekend that is open is September 10-12 and Constantin, James Ray and TRJ are all open that weekend, we just need to choose one. There is a survey for our Scouts to choose, see below. That weekend is also the OA Fall Fellowship, so not everyone will be able to go on the troop campout, which is ok. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/P9R75TR

October, we have planned that we were going to do our Beach campout. If this is something the troop is still interested in, we need to start making plans asap.

November, Mr. Murphy wants to have a shooting weekend. The only available camp that has all three shooting elements is at TRJ on November 19-21. If this is something that the troop is interested in, we need to secure this ASAP and I will work on getting some trained individuals to help run these ranges. We do have to pay for ammo and the ranges, so the cost will go up but it will be lots of fun.

 

 

Continue wearing masks at meetings while inside and maintain some sort of social distance especially with the rising cases of the new strand of Covid.

 

 

Popcorn sells are starting fast and furious with a huge emphasis on online selling. Mrs. Peacock will be heading up popcorn this year and will have more information.
