A Scout is Reverent…

Religious Emblems Programs: Bring your bible

The God and Country program with Senior High began this past meeting
The junior high program will begin next week. Currently, there are 7 signed up for this class.

Caving Campout – 7/20-22 Cost $45 Camping on the Colorado River and a day trip to Longhorn Cavern State Park

Depart from Woodhaven Friday 6pm (Please arrive by 5:30 so we can depart by 6:00)

Arrive back to Woodhaven Sunday about 6pm

Luke’s Eagle Project (Build Day) – Saturday 7/28  9:00am – noon

@ Camp Wisdom Daffron Pavilion, the pavilion by the parking lot

Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, work gloves

Lunch will be provided; Earn conservation service hours

 

Luke’s Eagle Project (Deploy Day) – Saturday 8/4 9:00am – 1:00pm spread across both parks

Towne Lake and Northwest Park in Irving – we will start at one park and end at the other (the order will be decided as it gets closer to the date)

800 Esters Rd, Irving 75061; 2800 Cheyenne St, Irving 75062

Scouts will need transportation to second park

Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, clothes/shoes that can get wet

Lunch will be provided; Earn conservation service hours

Alaska Prep Hike – July 14 8:00AM at Cedar Ridge Preserve 7171 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75249. (time correction from last week’s newsletter)

This is a 3 mile hike over challenging terrain.  This is scheduled early in the morning before it gets too hot.  Donations are recommended

Scouts are needed to hand out flags at an Honor America event at FUMC Irving – this Sunday 7/1 6:00PM – 6:30PM @ 211 W 3rd St Irving 75060

All are welcome to stay for the program after but it is not required

Wear full field uniform (class A) including neckerchiefs and merit badge sashes

Fundraiser for Luke’s Eagle Scout Project – this Sunday 6/24 7:30am-10:30am @ First United Methodist Church 211 W 3rd St Irving 75060

Luke is having a pancake breakfast fundraiser to fund his upcoming Eagle Project

He is asking for a few scouts to come out and help cook and serve.  Wear field uniform(class A)
