Independence Day Parade – We have been invited to participate with Pack 510 in the Irving Independence Day Parade on Thursday morning. If you want to walk please show up at 8:00am at entry #44, generally on Sowers in back of City Hall. Wear your uniform, comfortable shoes, a hat and bring water (I recommend a camelbak or similar pack). We will also need a signed waiver, attached, for everyone walking.

BSA Medical Form and pre-participation physical, Part C, is required for everyone attending summer camp at TRJ and Alaska   Link to Form

If you haven’t already turned in your medical form and you are attending TRJ then bring it Sunday.  Deadline to turn in your medical form if going to Alaska is the 6/25 troop meeting.

FYI, for those still needing a physical, MedExpress clinic offers $30 physicals, here is a link to their website.  They have a location in Irving and no appt is necessary. Take the BSA Medical Form with you.

 

 

Alaska Trek BSA swim test Saturday June 22 @ noon at the Longhorn Council swimming pool located at Longhorn Activity Center: 5350 Basswood Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76137
Cost is $2.50 per person. Please arrive early.

Hike at Cedar Ridge Preserve this Saturday 6/15 @ 9AM – this is a Cub Scout/Alaska Prep hike but the whole troop is invited. We will meet in the entrance to the preserve at the picnic tables. They recommend a donation of $3. Please arrive early so we may begin hiking at 9AM.

Cedar Ridge Preserve is located at 7171 Mountain Creek Pkwy Cedar Hill, Texas

Mandatory Alaska Trip Parent Meeting 6/18 – During next week’s troop meeting, we will have a parent meeting for those going to Alaska. We will discuss gear, flight info, etc.

 

 

Summer Camp 2019! @ Trevor Rees Jones Scout Camp

June 23 – 29; Cost is $285 per scout includes $10 for fuel, plus any merit badge fees; $175 per adult includes $10 for fuel.

Payment for summer camp is due.
