Troop 508 Newsletter 2/14/2018

This Week in Troop 508

 

News

Dues are now $10 per month.

This is in concurrence with National increasing the membership fee for scouts.

 

Scouting for Food – Thank you to everyone who helped collect food for Irving Cares!  The troop collected 339lbs/390 items.  Your time/donation was very much appreciated!

 

Tyson’s Eagle Scout Project – Pet Supply Drive @ Petsmart on 183 in South Irving 2/24 (10am-4pm) and Supply Delivery to DFW Humane Society 3/3 (subject to change)

Lock-in @ Summit Climbing Gym Grapevine 2/24 10pm-2am; this is a half night lock-in

Cost after tax: $32.50/climber, $5.50 more for the MB

Chance to earn the Climbing MB or free climb

Waiver required for everyone climbing, here is a link to fill it out: waiver

 

Medieval Campout 3/23 – 25 @ Camp Constantin; Cost $20

Meet at Woodhaven Friday 6pm, Arrive back at Woodhaven Sunday noon

Summer Camp 2018 is at Sid Richardson Scout Ranch

June 10 – 16; Cost is $265 per scout

Sign-up at the next troop meeting!

 

A Scout is Courteous…  The troop has been doing a great job with this so keep up the good work!  The church is appreciative!  Please bring a water bottle to meetings.  Woodhaven has asked us not to use their cups.  We need to be respectful of the church as a whole, this includes the kitchen area and the ice maker.

Please try to attend; scouts be in uniform

 

OA elections are during the next troop meeting 2/6; members should wear their OA sash; everyone should try to make it so you can vote

Saturday 10am; Bring a sack lunch; wear your activity uniform (troop t-shirt)

Dues are now $10 per month.

This is in concurrence with National increasing the membership fee for scouts.

 

Horseback Riding Campout 1/19-21 Total cost for those attending who are horseback riding is $45 ($25 to horseback ride plus $20 for the campout).

Meet at Woodhaven Friday 6:00pm to depart by 7:00pm

Arrive back at Woodhaven Sunday about noon

Please pay for the campout at the next meeting if you haven’t already.
